You can use cabinet bases, old dressers about 34" tall, or other pieces of furniture the right size. Then add a top. Have fun, think outside the box, be creative.
Start with a piece of furniture with sturdy drawers or doors. Build a frame or braces for the countertop you want. Consider putting strong wheels on the base. Paint the base and do any trimming, baseboards, remodeling, etc. before you put on the heavy countertop. Attach the countertop with heavy-duty hardware and let all adhesives and paint and grouting and caulking dry completely before use.

Start with an old dresser! Add wheels if you like and a hard surface to the top. :-)
You can buy base cabinets in whatever sizes/combinations you like, put them together and get a countertop made that will suit your style!
For the unfinished backs of the cabinets, you can order a facing that will match the cabinets, or create your own.
