How to put a bed frame under a bed without taking it all apart?

I put our old "Sleep Number Bed" back up but we had gotten rid of the bed railings that the box would sit in, thought it would be high enough without it, it is not. Can you suggest anything to use as a bed frame and how to put it under the bed without having to take it all apart again (which is a real pain), oh and it is a King size bed. Thank you in advance.

  • I have no idea how sleep number beds are designed, but taking the railings out just doesn't seem safe. You can purchase bed or furniture risers to make the bed taller, but I would seriously consider reassembling the bed properly. Chances are by not assembling properly will void any guarantee or warranty you may have.

No, need to take it apart.

If you check you will find that the iron bed frames are very reasonable in price. You need to put your mattress back on a solid frame for sturdiness and which has wheels so you can move it for easier cleaning.

You can purchase a king size standard bed frame. The plastic bases on the sleep number bed will slide right in. Both the base and the mattress are very light so you won’t have to take apart. You will need help removing the mattress first because of the tubes that hook to the pump
