I used 1 x 12s from the lumber yard. A 6 foot piece for the top and two 3 foot pieces, one on each end, for the legs. Use 1 x 6s stood on edge on front and back to support the top and keep the legs stable. You may also want to attach 1 x 4s lower to keep the legs steady. Wish I could attach a sketch.

I used a shelving board and actually bracketed it to the wall. Very easy and no one knows it is not a table. Hope that helps.
