How to clean bottom of refrigerator under hydrator drawers
There is a puddle of black stuff (mold?) under the vegetable drawer, and under the glass covering the bottom, in my fridge. It looks like the only way to get at it is to take the whole thing apart, which I'm afraid to do. Has anyone found a way to get cleaner in there? This is way at the back, and I can't reach it with spray. Or, how hard is it to take the drawer glide assembly apart and put it back together? Any suggestions on cleaning my refrigerator are appreciated.

The drawers should come out without taking out the assembly. Had a gallon container of Kool-Aid leak 3/4 before we caught it. The drawers slid out and I cleaned up the mess underneath without having to take anything else out. That is where the majority of it went. I did take out the assembly on the old fridge we replaced to see if it could be repaired on a couple of the assemblies that were cracked or broken. The fridge came with the house and the one I brought with me was too tall and wide for the opening so it went in the garage as my extra fridge for things not used that often, and things that take up a lot of space like water bottles, beer, wine coolers, watermelon and bigger things. If you have to take the assembly apart, it shouldn't be to hard to look at it and see how it is installed.
Once you pull the drawers out, you should be able to reach under the drawers. I've never seen a refrigerator that had additional glass under the drawers. Usually the glass is creating a shelf above the drawers, the slide assembly is directly under that glass piece and the drawers slide right out so you can clean under them.
I think you're right, take it all apart. That's what I have to do every time I give it a good cleaning or something gets spilled. Looks like they could make them a little easier to get to!
Can you post a photo? How old is the fridge? One of my fridges is ancient, and even that one is easy to clean. I am thinking the glass lifts up somehow. I would also check your owners manual, or if you no longer have it, I would go on line to the manufacturers website, look up your model and see if there is any information about cleaning your model.
