Have you tried Tide Washing Machine Cleaner?

Also - keep the washing machine door open after each wash so it can dry out in between washings.

I use Affresh or you can do a cycle with white vinegar.

To get everything smelling fresh, fill the washer with hot water, add two cups of distilled white vinegar and run a complete wash cycle.

is it top loader? fill both wash & rinse cups with vinegar then run on hottest settings leave lid propped up between washings ; front loader? fill both rinse and detergent cups with vinegar and run on hottest settings then clean out rubber seal around opening with vinegar soaked rag leave door propped open between washings so it can air out. the vinegar will also help loosen/remove any mineral/calcium build up in washer.front loader door won't stay open by itself ? use something like folded wash cloth to keep it open
