Just clean them, not all stainless is shiney and if use all the time and run thru dishwasher, that is their natural patina.

You can purchase a polishing cloth and rub the pieces. If they have a shine, that will bring it out.

For a stainless serving set I use this product by Wrights called Silver Clean. It is the best - I've been using it on great grandma's silverware for years.

I sell a lot of silver on Ebay. Jewelry, silverware, serving sets. Silver polish like Wrights and dips like TarnX tend to remove some of the metal. The foil method doesn't work that great and still leaves a grey film that still needs to be removed. I use white toothpaste (not gel) and a damp toothbrush. For large items I use a damp cloth. Also works on copper, brass, gold, porcelain, ceramics, sneakers, plastics, etc. For my sales I needed one product for cleaning everything.

soft scrub and wash cloth or I polish my stainless with a clay cleaner/polish called BioCleaner it is the best stuff ever for all stainless steel; sink, all my 18/10 stainless cookware; my all clad stainless and copperware of anykind. Keeps it stick free shiny and easy to clean.

  • Hi Sandi - This is the most effective and all-natural silver cleaning and polishing method that we use. It's also been featured by Hometalk. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
