Hello Peggy,
Mold and mildew are forms of fungi that grow well in damp places, to kill the spores you'd want to use vinegar.
What I do is have an empty 32 oz water bottle, add 5-6 oz Blue Dawn dish soap and then fill with vinegar. Put the cap on and mix, cut or poke holes in the cap and spray down the tub/shower. Let that set for about 15 min. I then clean the area with a broom from the dollar store (blue bristles and a white handle) and rinse well. Keep this broom dedicated to this task and not for sweeping-that could put particles in it that might scratch your tub. Repeat as often as needed.
For hard to treat mildew:
Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. Apply the paste to any hard-to-remove traces of mildew or mold. Spray with vinegar, and scrub with a damp microfiber cloth, scouring pad or stiff-bristle toothbrush, depending on the severity of the mold or mildew.
A few tips:
To prevent further problems with mold and mildew, keep your bathroom dry and well-ventilated. During and after a shower or bath, open a window or use the vent fan, and use a squeegee or mop to get rid of excess water buildup. Likewise, try to keep the sink area dry after use.
Keep the bathroom well-ventilated when working with vinegar and baking soda together in large quantities; the combination releases carbon dioxide.
A microfiber cloth is soft on the surface and highly absorbent. However, in instances where mold and mildew is very hard to scrub off, try a stronger scouring pad instead.

Spray it with vinegar and let it sit. Scrub to remove the mold. You may have to repeat and use some baking soda along with the vinegar to remove all of the mildew.

You will need to use white cleaning vinegar to kill the mold spores that cause mildew growth. After that, if there is staining you can use a bleaching agent (hydrogen peroxide or chlorine bleach) to remove staining.
Another vote for shite vinegar. Vinegar has antifungal and antibacterial properties, and it can be a cheap and effective treatment for many types of mold.
Household white vinegar typically contains about 5 to 8 percent acetic acid.
I use Clorox Cleaner with bleach and it gets the mildew out
Diluted bleach works well to remove mildew and mold.
White cleaning vinegar would help in killing mold spore which is the reason for mildew growth. Or you can also try Clorox cleaner.
Bleach Clorox cleanup soak in a. Orrin ball or paper towels let sit on the mold over night tape up if you have to soak up the paper with bleach in the morning it will be white then just rinse
