What is the best way to clean a sisal rug to remove stains from it?
I would use water and soap but I don´t know wheter sisal rugs shrink with water. Some stains are from spilling drinks, some others were produced by pets.

Soapy water and soft brush. Then when dry - Shoe polish. Maybe use Pad or cover to protect in future........
Saddle soap and any good leather conditioner.
Hi Kim, the web article that I read said to swish the soap to make suds and only use the suds for cleaning, not the water. I don't know how much difference it makes but my guess is that leather isn't very happy with water. Wishing you the best.

Hello! Armor All is a great leather protector that is advertised for use on car leather. However, it also cleans up leather very nicely!
I found it nearly impossible to remove with the leather cleaning kit-gift box provided with furniture purchase. I find it’s easier to put small throw a decorative blanket at the head to both prevent or exacerbation of the oil staining.
