Buyer Beware! Bought a set of Bamboo Sheets. Seemed like a great deal, $19,99 for size Double. They were soft to the touch and wrinkle free. Got home and put them alone in the washer. Well, the lint basket in my washer was overflowing. No problem I thought. Then put in dryer, That lint basket was overflowing, Took the lint brush to them, still more and more lint coming off, At this point I'm exhausted so decided to put them in dryer again with dryer cling free sheets, no results, still lots of lint coming off. Now I soak them and they are back in the dryer and I'm waiting. Anyone have any ideas of avoiding lint problems not only with these sheets but anything?

    HI Colleen,

I'm so sorry to hear your story. I'm wondering if you can take them back and return them to the store or if you bought them online contact the seller? You might have gotten a defective product. The only things I know about laundering bamboo sheets is that you're supposed to use cold water and wash them separately. If you did that, there could be something wrong with them. Contacting the store where you bought them is, in my opinion, the way to go. Wishing you the best!

  • My vote is to return them. You have a defective or substandard product - get your money back! I would take all the lint with you too! Show them how poorly the product laundered right out of the package.

When washing sheets, they should always be washed separately. Don't wash sheets with anything else, especially towels. I have had bamboo sheets for several years and not had a problem with them.

If it sounds too good to be true...I was trying to decide whether to buy some bamboo sheets. They are supposed to be so cooling and comfortable. My washing machine and dryer repairman charges three times the sheets’ price just to come check. I’ll just stick to cotton/polyester blends. Thank you! ☺️

I agree. We buy a new set of king sheets every couple of years, at JCPenneys, on sale for $60 instead of $120. We bought a cheap set a couple of years ago because company was coming. They pilled at the first washing! $20 wasted. And we always wash in cold water. The hot water is not even hooked up to the washer. I hope all that lint comes out, Shore grandmom. ☺️
