Hydrogen peroxide is a stain remover and will whiten laundry. You can add a cup to a load of whites. Here's a link with more information:

Use it only on whites. I use 1/3 bottle when I wash my whites. Works better than bleach. Bleach tends to make whites dingy and breaks down the fibers.
