Maude, I have always used the trusty ol' standby, White Vinegar. I'm sure no one else will approve of what I do, but that's alright ,too. I literally and liberally pour white vinegar on the spot and have a big terry cloth towel handy. After I pour the vinegar on (it will NOT hurt your carpet), I put the towel down on the spot and step on it, turning it to a dry part and stepping on it until the carpet is dry. It always worked for me and I had Poms. Hardheaded little stinkers. If they didn't want to go out, they did not go out. I am sure the vinegar will work for you.

I've used Spot Shot many times. Just follow the directions on the can. But test it in an area that is hidden to make sure it doesn't create another problem. I, personally never had a problem with it, but it's best to be safe than sorry.

If it’s pee, I use 91% rubbing alcohol. Ifit’s Poop, I use peroxide. Sop up what you ca with rags, paper towels, etc. Sprayleberlly and use a scrub brush. Dry with towels as Lana suggested.

  • We like Nature's Miracle, which breaks down the enzymes in the dog urine. Hope this helps!

You have to have an enzymatic you were in eating solution, or else the Pats will return and P on the spot again .

Nature's Miracle or Fizzion are your best bets. You do need an enzymatic cleaner to get rid of the smells that we can't smell, but they can. If they smell the leftover scents, they will often use that spot again. The enzymatic cleaners get rid of that scent that only they can smell. I'm not sure if something like Oxyclean works the same way, but Nature's Miracle or Fizzion are made specifically for animal pee.

Use it the same way Lana Hassell uses the vinegar. While vinegar will clean, I'm not sure if it will get the marking scents that we can't really smell. Use it liberally, you want to make sure it gets the underlayment where smells and stain can lurk and then bleed through later. Good luck! :)

Oxyclean has an Urine odor removal... I use it to clean rabbit cage and it instantly neutralizes the odor. That's what I would use
