To properly remove coffee rings from wood furniture you're probably going to have to sand and refinish the wood. You can try and use steel wool to remove the stains before going to those lengths.
If that doesn't work you'll have to sand the wood until the raw wood is exposed again and then re-coat it with a furniture varnish.
Things you can try before sanding it (so much work!)-
*rub mayo into the rings, leave a glob overnight, then buff out.
or
*mix olive oil and vinegar together and rub it with this mixture.
or
*baking soda/water paste- rub and remove.
