Yellowing cabinets - what to do?!

My white cabinets (not wood) have edging trim that has turned yellow. I've tried everything to get them white again. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Have you tried warm water mixed with white vinegar and baking soda?
Try some white toothpaste (not gel) on a damp cloth and rub on the area.
Paint?
If nothing else works you can peel off the edging, and glue on new edging.
I thought of that, but I was told the job is not easy. Have you done it before?
The yellowing is probably caused by polyurethane which yellows on whites.You can try to sand it down lightly and repaint with a latex paint and seal with a waterproof sealer.
