Clean a Burnt Saucepan in Minutes
I over cooked some vegetables this morning resulting in a burnt pan. No stress, I cleaned the Saucepan with 2 products. Salt and paper towel.
Best cookware cleanser!
This is my burnt Saucepan. As you can see it's pretty bad!
I went to the cupboard to get the table salt. This is the brand I use but any brand you already have should work.
I covered the bottom of the Saucepan with the Table Salt. Be generous with how much you pour, if you can see more burnt than you do salt then you will probably need to add a little more.
I immediately started to wipe away the salt from the bottom of the pan with paper towel.
The salt works as an exfoliator for the pan, think of it like those scrub face masks.
This is what the bottom of the Saucepan looked like a little over half way.
This is the Saucepan after all of the Salt was removed.
And here it is after a quick wash with some soap! My Saucepan is as good as new and you can't even tell it was full of burnt food earlier.😁

I just fill the pot with hot water and soap, and let it soak for awhile. Salt can ruin stainless steel; that's why you don't add salt to pasta water until the water is boiling.
If the burn is really, really bad, I use fume-free Easy-Off oven cleaner. I don't use it in the oven, but it's very handy for badly burnt pans, or stainless steel pans that need a refresh. If you have an electric range with drip pans, it works great on those as well.
Soaking a pan in a sealed plastic bag with ammonia overnight also works well.
