We all make resolutions every January but do we keep them? Did you ever think of making resolutions for your home??
Here are three resolutions and how to keep them.
1. Lose Weight That’s a very popular one but did you ever think how your home can lose weight? By reducing energy with these three simple ideas.
Turn off lights! When you leave a room, simply turn off the light. A 100 watt bulb left on for 10 hours used 12 cents worth of electricity which really adds up.
Change to LED light bulbs. LED bulbs use about 70% less energy than incandescent light bulbs & they only cost a dollar more.
Unplug unused cords. This is called “vampire power” which sucks unncessary electricity. And besides, who wants to look at all those cords plugged into the wall.
2. Stop Smoking Another very popular resolution and for your house, you can purify the air with these three simple ideas.
Change the air filters. The filter on the left is old and the filter on the right is new. What a huge difference!
Use All Natural Cleaners. Cleaning your sink with baking soda and other natural cleaners is just one way to reduce your chemical usage around you home.
Fill Your Home with Plants. Plants are natural air filters and adding a few extra plants around your home can change the quality of the air you breathe.
3. Exercise  By doing simple chores around your home, you can burn calories.
Vacuum. Did you know that you can burn up to 170 calories by vacuuming for one hour?
Making the Bed. This is something you should do every morning and it burns up to 68 calories.
Gardening. The simple act of planting burns up to 204 calories an hour which means the more time you spend in your garden in the spring, the skinnier you’ll be by summer.
