How can I remove the blue water stains in my sink and tub?

The sink is porcelain and the tub is some type of plastic material. A mixture of Dawn dish soap and vinegar used to do the job, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

CLR (calcium, lime and rust) works best but there's another product called kaboom foamtastic that works great THE SURFACE MUST BE DRY or the spray reacts with water and makes horrible fumes!
