It is the water that has dried up, add water, enough to rehydrate the wipes. I have done this many times before with cleaning wipes and diaper wipes.

    HIYAAA ,

I HAVE ALWAYS USED WATER TOO , BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW IF BY ADDING WATER THIS WAY ( COLD TAP OR BOILED TAP WATER ) TO ANTIBACTERIAL WIPES LIKE DETTOL CLEANSING SURFACE WIPES OR SIMILAR , IT CAN AFFECT THE ANTIBACTERIAL / VIRUS KILLING PROPERTIES IN THE WIPES ... ??? WHICH COULD POSSIBLY HAVE DETRIMENTAL AFFECTS ON THEM ... ??? IN AN IDEAL WORLD I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO USE WIPES THAT ARE STILL WET UNTIL I CAN ASCERTAIN AS TO WHETHER THAT ADDING WATER DOESN'T LESSEN THEIR EFFECTIVENESS ON VIRUSES ETC ... AS IT IS ESPECIALLY CONSEQUENTIAL AMIDST OUR CURRENT GLOBAL PANDEMIC YET UNFORTUNATELY I , LIKE MOST PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE THAT LUXURY AS ALL OF OUR SHOPS ARE ALL OUT OF CLEANING PRODUCTS ... SO I WILL HAVE TO DEPEND ON THE DRIED - OUT PACKS UNTIL I CAN HOPEFULLY FIND SOMEWHERE ONLINE THAT HAS THEM OR MANAGE TO GRAB ONE OF OUR SUPERMARKETS CHOCK - A - BLOCK DELIVERY SLOTS & HOPE THEY ARE JUST AS EFFECTIVE STILL - MANY THANKS EVERYONE FOR LETTING ME RAMBLE ON - I DO HOPE EVERYONE IS KEEPING WELL & STAYING SAFE ...

    REGARDS ,

It is generally not possible to restore cleaning wipes that have dried out. Once the wipes have lost their moisture, they will not be able to effectively clean surfaces or remove dirt and grime.

If you have a container of cleaning wipes that has dried out, you will need to dispose of the wipes and purchase a new container. To prevent the wipes from drying out in the future, be sure to close the lid of the container tightly after each use and store the wipes in a cool, dry place.

If you want to make your own cleaning wipes, you can try the following recipe:

    • 1 cup of warm water
    • 1 tablespoon of dish soap
    • 1 tablespoon of vinegar

Combine the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Transfer the mixture to a container with a tight-fitting lid, such as an empty baby wipe container or a jar with a screw-on lid. To use the wipes, simply pull one out of the container and use it to clean surfaces as needed. Be sure to close the lid tightly after each use to prevent the wipes from drying out.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

If disinfecting wipes have dried out, they can be revived by adding 70 percent isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol to the canister or package. Pour in the alcohol and close the container tightly. Allow the wipes to absorb the alcohol completely before using.
