Change or clean HVAC filter monthly. At least use a swiffer type dry mop often. Also makes a difference if you have pets. Some say to keep all your windows and doors closed. See if this helps.

The best is the Swiffer that has the bottle of cleaner attached to the side. They sell one specifically for wood floors. Because its wet, it picks up all the dust and leaves a great shine on the floor. I love mine!
I agree, swiffer does the trick- good luck!
Raising the humidity inside the home will help keep dust from flying around all thru the air with every move. Heat dries out the air allowing more dust & dander particles to become airborne. Then, when the air becomes still, those particles fall down to surfaces (gravitational pull) & collect making it appear to have never been cleaned. These particles flying around in the air all around you though you may or may not be able to see them causes many allergy problems.
Have you ever looked at the air in your home when the sun is beaming through a window? That tells you how concentrated the dust, dander, & even dead skin cells are in the air inside your home. Adding moisture & raising the humidity weights down those particles making them easier to remove from your home & air thus giving more control over them & requiring less dusting. Air purifier's & filters become more efficient as well.
There are different methods & appliances to help put moisture back into the air in your home, explore & find which works best for you.
