How do you get hard water stains out of toilets?

My son's toilet bowl is covered in hard water stains. We can't seem to get the stains removed. Help

Use a pumice stone .They are available at Home Depot in the cleaning aisle.

I agree with the pumice stone - those things are awesome. After buying a home that sat empty for a while and had nasty toilet bowl stains I had tried every trick in the book and nothing worked. A friend suggested the pumice stone and I had the stains gone in no time. They are cheap and they work great to clean the baked on food inside the oven ;)
