How do you get nicotine stains off porcelain?

I have a porcelain bathroom sink that has small burn/nicotine stains from a cigarette resting on the edge. Is there a way to get rid of them?

If porcelain, soft scrub. Porcelain doesn't burn. Culutered marble does.

You might have to sand it off with a fine sandpaper and then try to polish the spot with a clear car wax.

comet cleanser rub on gently let sit then scrub again rinse well

  Lynn thank you so much for the advise! It definitely looks better! I got excited and started to get too heavy handed so I stopped, HA HA!!! I will do a second round this weekend.

  I lived with a smoker 20yrs he always burned edges of bathtub,if you let it sit on stain it really helps gently rub it on then sit the darker the stain let it sit even over night. Comet w/ bleach in it :)

I will give it a shot but I have tried cleanser but did not let it sit on there. I even put Lysol rust and lime toilet cleaner on it to soak overnight and nothing! Thank you so much for the advise - I will do it tonight and let you know how it goes!!!
