use on out side of pans -catsup & lemon juice
Hi Linda, Fill the pots with warm water and add 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar. Simmer until discoloration is gone. You can replace the cream of tartar for lemon juice. To protect your aluminum pans, don't put them in the dishwasher. Wash by hand. I hope this helps you. Best wishes.
And never turn the heat on high under the pots and pans. Besides burning the bottoms, the heat may actually warp the bottoms. But for that, I’ve used a hammer wrapped in a towel! 41 years and counting on my clean, shiny, level cookware. ☺️
I don't know about these ladies above, but I was taught to never use acid, including tomato, lemons or vinegar, in my mom's cast aluminum pans as it darkens them.
