How to get rid of gray residue ?
i been using thompsons for years with great results EXCEPT this year, when it dried now half my deck has this gray residue / color , dont know why , i did it normally as i do with a roller , took of any excess , no rain for days before i did it , no rain for 4 days after i finished it , i got a message out to them , so will see what they say , wondering if anybody else had this problem

After several years our deck faded and the seal brought the gray color out. We had to use a stain seal after that.
Use a degreaser
I think you might need to lightly sand it down to get it all off
I would try a white vinegar and dawn solution in a power washer. Do not use high pressure just enough to get the residue off.
Did you do it when the deck was wet or damp? May be mould?
