How to remove rust stain from blacktop driveway?

Let someone keep their gas grill next to garage over the winter. They came to get it while we were gone and when we got home there was some rust stains where it had been sitting. Annoying! Oh, shoot! Was in a hurry and forgot to say this is on a blacktop driveway.

Rustoleum makes a great rust remover.

You can get it on Amazon. Whatever you do, do not use bleach it will reinforce the rust.

Thank you. I'd have to check if it can be used in blacktop. Don't want to make a bigger problem for myself!

Pour or spray white vinegar on the rusted surface in place of lemon juice for tougher stains. Let the vinegar sit for several minutes before scrubbing it with a wire brush. Rinse away the rust with some cold water and repeat for difficult stains. Scrub the surface of theconcrete with a brush.

Try it in a hidden area to test it first. If the vinegar doesn't work then try CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust) product from the store (again test it in a hidden area).
