Just mix the two together - using enough dawn to get the sugar "wet" enough so that it doesn't scratch when you rub it on your hands.

Place the sugar in a bowl and then stir in the Dawn Hand Renewal dish soap until everything is well mixed together. If you prefer the mixture be thicker, just add a little more sugar. If you would prefer it be more liquid, just add a bit more soap. Transfer to a jar for storage.May 4, 2015

Hello Mary Beth! I have made this before! Wonderful stuff! If you make a large amount for gifts you can buy the smaller jelly jars with a diamond pattern and use those to hold the sugar scrub. The sugar scrub will separate over time so include a stirring spoon/stick.

Mary Beth, I use 1 teaspoon of Dawn to a cup of salt or sugar and stir well and often. I actually prefer a dish of salt scrub which can be used every time you wash your hands. And ants don’t go after salt. But sugar in a beautiful jar will look lovely and seldombe used. Both are good gifts. ☺️

  • I use oil, sugar and fragrance. No dawn necessary. Oil does a great job of cleaning hands, especially paint and dirt. Plus, it makes your hands soft.
