How can I cover up open shelves using sets of bi-fold doors?
I am creating a sewing room downstairs and will attach white shelving floor-to-ceiling or so. I got bi-fold door sets from the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Don’t know how to frame the doors to cover and close off the shelves. Is there standard framing to use? How difficult?

Make a cabinet. Get two boards the depth of the shelves and height of the doors for the sides. Screw the shelves to the boards then attach the doors to the front.
Hi Helen,
I am guessing there is nothing framed in the space already? What I am picturing in your description is a closet sort of space. A picture would be helpful to be of better assistance. To put bifold doors up you are in essence framing a closet.
Yes, looks like it is just like framing a closet. Thanks.
Sounds like you’d need to frame out a closet then install the doors. Framing out a closet is not always super simple. If that’s not possible, maybe turning the doors into sliding panels off the ceiling might work?
