Decide what kind of storage you need. Use the closet - there are tons of organizers that will make the most of that space. A work table will probably be needed. Check yards sales and thrift stores for one. A cabinet and/or an old dresser also provide a lot of storage.
A work table and well stocked closet has worked for me. Under-bed craft storage is an option too.
Hi Judy, craft rooms evolve...... I suggest starting by deciding where you want the daybed to be located, then build or add upright shelving or bookcases. By going vertical you'll be able to keep more floor space for a craft table (maybe with storage underneath). Here's a video that might get you ispired with some excellent ideas.

Sounds like a great idea! Consider and Murphy bed or folding Davenport to free up floor space for a crafting table. Also consider a folding crafting table that you can put away when you have guests. :)
My office used to be a combination of play room, craft room, with a day bed. I had the craft table & sewing machine on the furthest wall with the bed in the middle to define the spaces. I also had a rug on the floor in the play area to anchor it. The room is 12 x 16 and was plenty of room for activities. It also allowed the kids to play while I worked on items and be in the same area to keep a watch on them.
That said, my advice is define the area with a rug, furniture, or some way so the craft area doesn't spill into the sleeping space.

No reason to not have one wall with daybed and night stand with lamp. Use shelving units for bins for craft suppplies and add hooks to the ceiling and hang beautiful shower curtain(s) to hide the storage bins on the shelves.
So many great ideas here already from everyone--I'll bet your craft room is going to look amazing!
One idea that I love is when people upcycle an old television armoire cabinet into a craft cupboard. You can often find these cabinets for free on places like craigslist, now that everyone has flat panel tvs that don't fit into them. That way, you can just close it up when not in use, and everything looks neat and tidy.
If you need more ideas, I have a Pinterest board dedicated to craft room inspo. Hope it helps!

I did this and used the closet as the craft room. A fold up table a d lost of storage in the closet so it’s all hidden behind doors.
Use furniture that has multiple purposes, things that fold or store then open up to be useful. It'll depend on what kind of crafts and what those storage needs will be. Plan it all out first before buying anything.
Hi! Bin cubbies are my go to for hidden storage. It keeps all my stuff hidden away when not in use. Good luck and have fun with the space.
How frequently will there be overnight guests staying in the room? If you answered hardly ever, or not often, then make arranging the space as a craft room for yourself a priority over decorating it as a guest room.
A conventional bed takes up a great deal of floor space. I would suggest instead either a loft bed, or a chair that makes into a bed. Here are a some examples:
