Overflowing trays, cups, bowls, baskets. of fresh produce. Take homes at end.
Burlap wreathes,red-checkered tablecloths,napkins,etc.
Keep it simple. Small little vases from the dollar tore and fresh flowers. Grocery stores will make good deals on flowers almost ready to expire.
Make DIY cake stands from plates in your choice of color and crystal candleholders from the dollar store. Glue them with E6000 glue. Display the desserts as your centerpieces.
And for something super easy, check out Dollar Tree. I recently bought a 10" creation that simply had a base and lots of shiny "feelers" coming out of the top -- like a butterfly's feelers (I can't think today!). It was bright and cheerful and fit perfectly on the window sill in the nursing facility. And you couldn't do better than a dollar unless you already had everything you needed to make centerpieces. You could also use two or more of these per table and use curling ribbon or shiny metallic curls trailing down the center of the table.
I like to buy little pots of pansies or other blooming flowers, then cover the pots with colored foil (or plastic-lined gift wrap) and tie with ribbons or raffia. Sometimes you can buy the plants with pots already covered with foil. Then you can use the plants as door prizes.
Use seasonal flowers that are readily available.
Easy care succulents in a small vase, take them home when done.
