It's not an unusual occurrence, sadly. You need to separate the 'underdog' so it can't be picked on. Keep it warm or cool, offer water and food, and perhaps some human interaction (they make lovely pets) and give it time to heal and get bigger. Once that has happened you can put it back with the rest of the chickens, keeping an eye on it for future occurrences.Helpful Reply -

All birds peck and the pecking order is established early on. They will peck more if they are confined. That is why in commercial poultry their beaks a cut which is cruel. Just separate the aggressive ones and let nature take its course.Helpful Reply -
