Ideas on how to put something up when my dog first comes in the door

the house i purchased was flipped and the flippers put a back door out to the porch from the larger bedroom. i have a dog and to stop her from coming in from outside and jumping on the bed was thinking of suspending some old screen doors i found as soon as you walk in making a sort of room divider but not really but this should deter her from making the quick jump. she is young and eventually should stop. in the meantime tho i would like to use the larger room as the main bedroom. small house door not in ideal place but i had no say so. any ideas????? thanks for any help.

Why not create an inner lobby, with Clear polycarbonate (could be a Folding Screen only more secure, so that when the dog rushes in , it will not be able to go any further unless you open the Screen

There are free standing dog gates that get pretty long that you could use from the door and curve it towards the door going out of the bedroom. From what I have seen in the adds they are not unattractive and are used to block dogs out of living room that have large entries from the kitchen or wherever. This would be my suggestion over using something that would be too tall and detract from the room itself.

Rather than a dog gate, I'd get inside dog fencing. It can be attached to the wall and has a gate in it.

Is there a place in another room where you can put a doggy door threw the wall? We did it for our cats to go out into a dog kennel instead of door. You just cut threw wall & put door in. It comes with a cover to close off. They come in big size.

Try putting a leash on her when she's about to enter the house. Show her the right place you want her to go. Keep doing this and give her a treat when you reach the room. The repetitiveness will soon teach her to do this automatically, and you won't have to leash her, try it for two weeks, it will pay off. Good Luck!
