I would use a strong adhesive over penetrating the door.
I would make sure it's not heavy and use mollies to anchor it.
I would through bolt it with washers. You’ll need a small drill bit
and the cheap place to buy nuts and bolts is Home Depot.
They have hundreds of small 99¢ bags on their upper sections of small bolts, nuts, washers & screws.
