Christmas Wall Art

6 Materials
2 Hours
I wanted to do a focal wall for Christmas and I did using only spray paint, glitter sticky paper, glue stick, toilet paper, toilet paper rolls, hot glue, hot glue gun and markers.
It started with these toilet paper rolls.
I took 15 toilet paper rolls and 5 paper towel rolls. I spray painted the paper towel rolls and 8 of the toilet paper rolls.
Silver tubes.
After they dried, I took 12 pieces of toilet paper and spray painted those only on one side.
Silver paper.
I then took my glitter deco tape in gold and wrapped around the 7 toilet paper rolls left.
Glitter deco tape tube.
I then glued the silver tissue paper to the ends of the sliver paper towel rolls. I did a simple tuck and used a glue stick. I cut off or trimmed the excess so that no tissue was hanging off the sides.
Capped but not yet trimmed.
Next I heated my glue gun and started hot gluing the silver tubes so that it was like a trunk of a tree but it's really the middle of the star. I added the toilet paper rolls next.
I had the 2 extra sheets of silver paper and tore it to make it look snowy-ish. I then glued them to the wall. You can see it in the above picture.
Wax paper, glue and marker.
Then I used my hot glue gun to make words on wax paper, colored them with marker and pulled them off the paper. I then glued them using hot glue to the wall.
No, I did not write on my wall.
What do you think about my upcycle? I gave it a two hour time due to paint drying and coloring letters.
And while it is not perfect; I was surprised happily at the results.
Star power.
