Make Fabric Pumpkins

Fabric Pumpkins are so fun and easy to make.

First, start with a quick trip to the thrift store. I like to buy old clothes to make these pumpkins.

Choose an assortment of fabrics and textures in colors you like. I like the stretch jersey knits. They are effortless to work with and mold very well.

Chenille is also one of my other favorite fabrics to you. In addition, I have bought an old chenille bedspread to make pumpkins and a robe with tags on it. You can also purchase beautiful white chenille.

Old plaid flannel shirts are fun to work with as well.

Natural stems make the most realistic-looking pumpkins. You may need to take a trip to a pumpkin farm or your local grocery store. I find them at the bottom of the boxes of pumpkins or just on the ground at a pumpkin patch.

Check out my blog post for all of the details on how to make these beautiful pumpkins. I will take you to step by step to the finished product. You will only need a few supplies, fabric, stuffing, embroidery thread, rice or beans, and embroidery needles.

Collect an assortment of great fabrics and textures to create your own pumpkin patch.
