Our 1st Serving Tray Design, 11 1/2" x 18 1/2" x 2" and all (so far) made from reclaimed wood.
Reclaimed White Oak
Reclaimed Hickory - this one created from an old pallet - ready to see the steps?
Pallet is cut up and pieces sorted.
Pieces are planned and glued up.
More planning and sanding.
Pieces are shaped, we have the bottom, the sides, 2 with handles.
Test fit first - always!! Bottom is grooved into the sides and the sides are pinned together. This wooden tray is not only unique and beautiful - it will last.
The 1st of 3 coats of finish (Danish Oil) is applied and the wood grain color comes alive.
