Yes. That's exactly what we did. Opened up a lot of counter space. Make sure you have enough clearance between the top of the stove and the bottom of the cabinet. You will have to hang it on a bracket.
Yes Jackie, you can! You will have to buy a microwave that fits your space between any kitchen cabinets. You will also have to look and see how your range hood is vented outside and how your new microwave is vented and buy accordingly. You also need to have an electrical outlet where you can plug in the microwave so the cord is hidden. My husband installed one in the small cabinets above the microwave and drilled a hole so the cord would go up into the cabinets to be plugged in. Once installed the microwave hides that hole.

Be aware, the microwave actually sold to go over the stove, so they should know better, but you have to take it down to replace the LIGHT BULB. CRAZY
