I would start with a basic shape and either go padded, or do it with wallpaper, art Deco wallpaper is easy to find.
Maybe this can help.
In a real pinch you can use the lid off a very large plastic storage bin. I did this once when I was staging a home to sell. You can decoupage it using various papers or cover it with fabric stretch around it and glued to the inside and use Command hooks to place on the wall. Not a good permanent fix maybe but it worked for me. Then I still had the lid to use in my move.
How about a stencil like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Stencil-Damask-Reusable-Stenciling-Stencils/dp/B075KVPJ48/ref=sr_1_122_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1520213969&sr=8-122-spons&keywords=art+deco+stencil&psc=1
I had a black and cream art deco bedroom, so I made a headboard in a semi-circle plywood and upholstered and tufted it in black vinyl. here's some inspiration for you.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBcfpoRRUsA
I simply cut my plywood, used a drill with a fine bit to drill holes in a pattern for the tufting on the plywood. Then I applied the foam with spray adhesive. Covered the foam with the vinyl, using a staple gun and a hairdryer to get it smooth around the curves. Then I used a 6" tufting needle to apply black cut onyx buttons to the front and old shirt buttons on the back using carpet thread to pull it to create the tuft.
