You need a masonry bit to drill holes in the Mortar not the Brick, and you need to get Anchors: Steel or Plastic to insert into the holes. After you have the Anchors in Place (these come with a Bolt) you screw in the Bolt. Of course a very heavy photo or mirror of portrait will need 2 anchors and wire to suspend these.
Brick clips. You do need to have bricks that sit a little proud of the mortar. The clips are grippy on the top and springy on the bottom. You put the bottom under the brick and push up until the top lands on the brick and "grabs". The last time I bought them I got them at Joanns.
how heavy/big are the pictures you can use anything from hot glue(lightweight) to molly bolts for heavy/big items depending on which you use you may need a drill to drill holes for anchor bolts really could use a little more info. on size weight of picture(s)
