I think it would look beautiful. You could hang it from the wall over the mantle or rest it on the mantle, leaning on the wall. Since it's probably heavy, be sure it is secured to the wall in a stud.
it would look nice and be sure to use something to keep it stable on the mantle like command strips or something that won't hurt the mantle finish
It would depend on your "vibe" and other decor but you could definitely make it work by adding other items such as candles, greenery, and small things. Keep it minimal and use the rule of 3s.
Are you looking to set it atop as a decorative item? I've seen that done and it makes for a nice decorative effect. You might want to add a few items around it to flesh the whole look out.
I'm sure the antique mirror would look beautiful on the mantle. Leaning it slightly against the wall at a safe angle could be beautiful but keep in mind what it will reflect.....another wall or possibly a ceiling? Practice safety first.
It could be very beautiful. Given how simple it is you could make the accessories on the mantle shine even more. :)
If you are certain that leaning it on the mantel won't damage the edges it should look good. Just keep in mind that the angle somewhat determines what image will be reflected so make sure you are happy with that since you will be living with it. Post a picture of what you end up doing. Good luck!!!
We don't know size or shape or condition. Pictures always help. Upload on using the camera icon below.
This would actually look great. But it really depends on the vibe that you want to achieve.
To make sure you do not damage the edges, you could put a small strip of rubber shelf liner from the dollar store to cushion it and prevent any slippage. This mirror would allow you to decorate to make it complement your decor.
Hi Jill, I think it will look fabulous! You can use super glue to attach a hanging wire to it as one way of mounting it on the mantle. Hope this video helps
