Hi Kristina, I saw a video of people dribbling nail polish over a bowl of water and then dunking in glass globes into that, it really looked nice when they were done! I don't know if unicorn spit would work in the same way but its worth a try!
Heres what one home talker did with wine glasses. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/spit-on-glass-16790058?expand_all_questions=1
Spit on Glass
Once your globes have dried, have a long empty container ready — like an empty Lysol wet wipes container. Then transfer some of your unicorn spit mixed with water into it and let the stems from your globes hang down into the container -- the globe can sit on top of the container until you are happy with the outcome. Use another enpty container to set the globe on to let your stem dry.
I did not see water globes painted with Unicorn Spit, but here on Hometalk are tons of ideas for using Unicorn Spit. Enjoy browsing through the posts. Click on the link below.

Sometimes when I try something new, I like to try it out on a small, less expensive item. If you have any clear xmas ornaments, you might try these first to get the technique down. Even a clear glass jar, might tell you what you want to know.
I googled "repurposing watering spikes" and got some but you have to pick through all the wine bottles to find a good image. But here is a good place to start.
