Statement Large Terrarium from Old Post Lantern

4 Hours
Using a rust discarded post lantern, I lightly sanded, primed, and painted the metal. Cleaned all the glass panes. A shallow container was created using charcoal, potting soil, small rocks and moss. Plants were added and voila, a lovely, huge statement terrarium.

love this, but do you open the door to water, and how does the soil stay in?

I actually have this same fixture, with one broken pane of glass. I was going to have my husband remove it (throw it out). I've also got a lot of moss in the yard perfect for terreriums. Thanks for the inspiration! It looks like this terrarium has little "ball" feet. We're those added?
