It all began with an idea and a blank wall in this woman's apartment kitchen. The kitchen was added to this home, it was an old mansion divided up into smaller apartments. Creating her own wallpaper saved so much money!
She painted the kitchen wall a beautiful green then got to work designing a pattern that would work. More ideas for this kitchen can be found at Homeroad.net.
It all began with inspiration from a popular wallpaper design. She then used her graphic design knowledge to create a similar leaf design and transfer the design onto paper.

From paper to linoleum block, the process can be seen in detail by following the GO button at the bottom of this post.

She used a cutting tool and a popular linoleum cutting technique to make her stamp. The stamp was then placed in even rows around the room.
The results are amazing and cost a fraction of the cost of wallpaper. This project can be done with any design! See how the leaves were placed evenly and throughout the kitchen.
