Have you tried scrap gardening??

I have with romaine, green onions and celery and it really works. just cut off the root of the veggie and set in water for a couple of days til you see a sprout then plant.

Oh yes. When I have a bad onion I plant it in the ground then, I have three. I cut the end of the celery and do the same. Also, I have a cabbage coming up in the place where I compost scraps. Have not had any luck with carrots. Fresh onions have such a wonderful scent and flavor. This year I have volunteer tomatoes from the compost pile.Helpful Reply -
