Best way to remove popcorn bathroom ceiling and re-texture ceiling

Scrape with a putty knife. sand lightly use tack cloth to remove dust. Prime and paint

CLOSE THE TOILET LID AND COVER WITH PLASTIC AND COVER THE SINK DRAIN, BATH TUB/SHOWER DRAIN////this will turn to basically concrete in your pipes and you will be asking how to replace them...scrape with putty knife, shop vac the ceiling or sweep with a straw broom..buy drywall mud and stippling brush for a mountianous type ceiling texture (dab on the mud with the brush) or a nothced trowel for creating swirls or buy texture plates on the internet...apply mud to the ceiling and texture as desired, allow to dry for 24 hours and then paint....then spend the next week dusting everything....unless you were smart enough to cover everything in plastic drop cloths before starting...DO NOT GET THIS DUST IN THE TOILET OR ANY DRAIN!!!!!!!!I can not emphasize this enough.

make sure to cover everything as this will be messy and dusty, you can use a putty knife or a scrape blade then prime and paint
