I've heard staining is a good technique for updating floors. So how do I stain my wood floor?
of course! You just need to use a special glue
My vote is no. If the paint fails, so does your floor.

You will need to strip up the paint first. Check to make sure it's for concrete floors. The floor needs to be level too. Then you should be okay. My MIL had her sons tile her basement bathroom which is concrete. It was painted and they stripped it first but it was so long ago, not sure what they used.
