How can vinyl flooring that's glued to 1/2" MDF be removed to lay LPV?
I will be removing carpeting & vinyl to lay 8mm Luxury Plank Vinyl. The vinyl is glued to 1/2" Medium Density Fiber Board in the kitchen. I will be adding MDF through the rest of the house to match the height, but will need to remove the existing vinyl. I pulled up a small section, but the glue remained. How's the best way to remove the glue?

Joe,
A heat gun and scraper will loosen the adhesive after you have pulled off what you can of the flooring. MDF seems like an unusual choice for subflooring, especially in a kitchen as MDF is not waterproof. I understand MDF is cheaper, but it sags under a load. Is your existing MDF laid over plywood? You might want to consider 1/2" CDX plywood anywhere water is present.
Use a floating laminate flooring with an underlayment. One of the few good things about laminate flooring is that, if the underfloor is level, you do not have to remove it. LPV is laminate flooring.
