How does MOHAWK Perfectseal 12 Laminate hold up?

We are taking out two walls between our living room and kitchen. Would like to put the Vista Grey Mohawk Perfectseal Laminate flooring through out. Any suggestions ? Also do you suggest using the molding and other floor boards?

Not a fan of laminated flooring. It scratches, you can't touch up, noisy because it's basically hard plastic over chip board.. If gets wet the chip board swells and have to replace. Look at solid wood look vinyl. Looks closer to wood, warm and very durable.
Hi Ann!
I have listed first some consumer feedback for you, and then other helpful information.

To me why use laminate instead of real wood. It's just cheap way of doing the floor. With laminate you get what you pay for you walk on it sounds like you're walking on cheap flooring... To me better to do your floors in real wood it will last forever.
What kind of warranty does Mohawk offer? Laminate is just that, a laminate, as in something thin with the topcoat.
I agree, laminate has a lot of downsides though I realize it’s more affordable than other options. If you plan on staying put for years to come, I too would suggest a more durable product otherwise you’ll find you may need to replace the laminate. In the long run, it will then be less cost effective.
