    Vinyl planking is great! It is easy to install. You use a utility knife to cut the planks to size and simply lay them over your old flooring. Be sure to butt them up next to each other tightly, with no gaps. install your trim molding over the edges of the flooring after you have finished the entire room.

      Just use a utility knife to cut the planking around the door frame. You can lay it right up to the edge of the door frame. You can either undercut your door frame slightly to slip the edge of the vinyl underneath, or lay it right up to the frame and use a bit of colored caulk to seal the edge of the vinyl. Or, if your cuts are close enough, you can just leave it. For the space across the frame...the door opening, you can use a matching threshold. Your floor store or home center will be able to show you what is available to match your flooring.
