I have a popcorn ceiling that has been painted and want to remove it,

    I have not done this but, I watched a video about how to remove and it said to spray it with water let set a few minutes ( do in small section) then take a wide putty knife and scrape it off. Make sure every thing I see covere. It going to be messy

    It's more difficult to remove the popcorn after its been painted but still possible to do. Work in sections by dampening the ceiling with a spray bottle or weed sprayer, let soak a few minutes and then use a scraper to remove the texture. Be sure to protect yourself and the areas beneath the ceiling where the popcorn will fall. Just know that you will likely have to do some sort of repair as wehn the popcorn is removed completely, you'll likely see the taped joints of the drywall.
