Solution to a concrete carport floor that sweats?

We have lived here for over 35 years, and the concrete floor was here when we moved in. It still looks pretty decent, except when the floor sweats. During changing seasons it gets terribly wet and slick. We are Seenagers (Senior teenagers) now and fear slipping and falling. We have dogs so carpeting is out. We have tried the gritty paint with out much luck. Help!! We do not need a fall at our age!!

Cold concrete and warm air causes moisture to condense on the concrete. Just like leaving a cold glass of water, can of soda, bottle of beer, out on a hot day. Best way is to use a penetrating sealant on the concrete that will go deep into the concrete and prevent the moisture from condensing. You can check the home centers and see what they have available. Not just a surface concrete sealer. Best one available is Master Shield but probably only available through mail order. It's good for about five years.

Use the heavy padded nonslip rugs made for kitchens, at least on the part of your garage that you walk on to get to your car and out to the garage door. You still need to seal, but those rugs have been a lifesaver to me, literally.

Put membrane down and screed over it ..........You have no damp proofing under concrete....
