Use the pad and let if float.Makes it easier for removing the floor down the road.Learned that one the hard way.

Use a pad and let it float. Ideally, use a dimpled membrane such as Delta-FL, Prova Loxscreen, DMX 1-Step, (there are others as well). These membranes float the floor, leaving an airspace underneath, which prevents moisture buildup, and can save your floors if you get any seepage. The airspace also provides some insulation, as your floor is not in direct contact with the concrete - so a warmer floor.

Agreed...let it float. It was made to be installed that way. The material expands and contracts with the effects of its environment. A glue-down install would impede this and over time your floor will suffer. Good luck.

The manufacturer directions for our Pergo floors strongly suggested a floating floor for best results. Check with the manufacturer of the product to see what they suggest.
