I have encore azaleas and they normally bloom up to the first of November. This year, they bloomed once in spring and only 1 of 12 is just beginning to bloom a second time. I am in zone 7b and even though I water them the extreme heat we are experiencing has taken their toll.
There are a few things that might help you. Add coffee grounds to the soil (I get them from our coffee stations at work). Apply a food that is formulated for acid loving plants like this one:
